Hi, do you have a Facebook fan page or pages? If so you're probably wondering how to build an audience and get more likes. I have a few pages and am starting to get a few likes to it as well, so I decided I'd share what's been working for me.
First thing is directing users from else where to your fan page. Now this may be something you want to put off a while if you're just starting to guide traffic to a squeeze page for subscribers but if you have established a successful email list and are wanting to take it to the next level this is for you.
It's as simple as replacing backlinks that would normally lead to your website with links to your fan page. You can use this in places such as forums as well as blog sites.
Create an incentive or benefit for liking your page. Think what will the customer get out of the deal. Normally when people think they're getting some insight on value that's rare their curiosity is pricked immediately. This can increase your conversion rate up to 300%.
Now there are some don'ts as well and the biggest one I can think of is sending traffic to your wall. This gives people too much to look at and become distracted and essentially lose interest. Keep it simple and concise. Send them right to the like/incentive page.
Stay in touch and send regular updates to your fans. Facebook actually allows you to send updates to your fans. Awesome huh! Some people actually prefer this over an auto responder(The verdict is still out on that one).
